  • Job Description

    The Flag City Sluggers are seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive medical care and injury prevention for our summer collegiate baseball team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our players.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide preventative care and injury prevention education to players.

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat athletic injuries.

    • Develop and implement injury rehabilitation programs.

    • Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

    • Coordinate with team physicians and other healthcare providers.

    • Manage the athletic training room and equipment.

    • Educate players and staff on health and wellness topics.

    Qualifications:

    • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification required.

    • Current state licensure or certification (if applicable).

    • Experience working with athletes, preferably in a collegiate or professional setting.

    • Strong knowledge of athletic injuries and rehabilitation techniques.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Position Overview: The PR/Marketing Coordinator will help promote the team’s brand, drive attendance, and create fan engagement through various marketing strategies and media efforts. This role involves handling social media, press releases, and fan interactions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Promote games, merchandise, and special events through creative campaigns.

    • Write and distribute press releases and manage media relations.

    • Engage with fans on social media to increase excitement and participation.

    • Help coordinate team promotions and in-game activations.

    Requirements:

  • Position Overview: The Social Media Coordinator will focus on creating and sharing engaging content across the team’s social media platforms to increase fan engagement and promote the team’s brand. This will include interacting with fans and working with players and staff for content creation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Post daily updates, highlights, and engaging content across all social media channels.

    • Work with players and staff to create authentic behind-the-scenes content.

    • Monitor social media interactions and respond to fans.

    • Take photos and videos at games (if interested, photography experience is a bonus)

    Requirements:

  • Position Overview: The Kids Club Coordinator will work to organize opportunities and manage the Kids Club, ensuring the team has a positive impact on the community and provides young fans with fun experiences. This role requires the ability to handle high-energy events and prioritize safety.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and grow the Kids Club, by planning events.

    • Ensure kids have an enjoyable experience at games and team events.

    • Build strong relationships with local schools and community groups.

    • Provide guidance and supervision during Kids Club events and activities.

    • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at team events.

  • Position Overview: The Broadcaster will be the voice of the team during live-streamed games, providing play-by-play commentary and keeping fans engaged with exciting and informative broadcasts.

    • Conduct interviews with players and coaches to add insight and flavor to broadcasts.

  • Position Overview: The Scorekeeper will ensure accurate scorekeeping, and assist with walk-up song coordination. This role requires attention to detail and an understanding of how to keep score in baseball.

    Responsibilities:

    • Record key statistics during games (e.g., runs, hits, errors, batting averages).

    • Ensure the accuracy of statistics in real-time for coaches, players, and fans.

    • Work closely with the scoreboard and marketing teams to display live stats.

    • Compile game stats for use in team communications and press releases.

    • Assist with post-game data reporting and analysis.

    Requirements:

    • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

    • Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.

    • Calm, focused, and able to handle the fast pace of live baseball games.

  • Position Overview: The Public Address Announcer will make announcements during games, including introducing players, announcing scores, and hyping up the crowd to create an exciting atmosphere at the ballpark.

    • Maintain a professional and clear speaking voice during all announcements.

    Requirements:

  • Position Overview: The Stats Coordinator will track and record all game statistics, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date for the team, coaches, and fans. This position will also assist with compiling and sharing game stats in real-time.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate housing for all players, including finding host families and ensuring housing assignments are in place.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for host families and players regarding housing concerns.

    • Communicate expectations to host families and ensure a positive living experience for players.

    • Troubleshoot any housing issues that arise during the season.

    • Maintain clear records of housing arrangements and address any conflicts promptly.

    Requirements:

  • Position Overview: Fun Squad Members will serve as the team’s ambassadors during game days and events, engaging with fans, hosting activities, and helping to create a fun, energetic atmosphere. They will serve as MCs for in-game promotions, contests, and fan interactions, and will throw out t-shirts and prizes to keep the crowd excited.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead in-game promotions, contests, and interactive fan activities.

    • MC events and keep the crowd engaged with exciting announcements and energy.

    • Toss t-shirts and other giveaways to fans during breaks in the game.

    • Assist with crowd engagement and create a fun, family-friendly atmosphere at the ballpark.

    • Be visible and approachable to fans, ensuring everyone is having a great time.

    Requirements:
