  • Director of Digital Media - Flag City Sluggers

    Job Description

    The Flag City Sluggers are seeking a creative, organized, and energetic Director of Digital Media to lead our digital presence for the upcoming season. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital media strategy that enhances fan engagement, promotes the Sluggers brand, and drives ticket sales. The Director will oversee all aspects of our digital footprint, including the official team website, social media channels, photography, video content, press releases, and email newsletters. This is a key leadership role that requires a passion for baseball, storytelling, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, game-day environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Website Management

      • Maintain and regularly update the official website www.FlagCitySluggers.com

      • Ensure website content is engaging and optimized SEO

    • Social Media Management

      • Develop and implement a content calendar for all team social media platforms

      • Create and post compelling daily content, including game-day updates, player highlights, behind-the-scenes footage, and fan interaction campaigns.

      • Provide live in-game coverage, including score updates, key plays, and final results.

      • Monitor social media channels, respond to fan inquiries, and foster a positive online community.

      • Track and analyze social media metrics to measure growth and engagement, providing regular reports to the leadership.

    • Content Creation

      • Oversee a team of photographers and videographers to capture high-quality photos and videos during games, practices, and community events.

      • Edit and produce engaging content, including highlight reels, player interviews, hype videos, and graphic designs for use across all digital platforms.

      • Ensure all visual content aligns with the Flag City Sluggers brand identity.

    • Public Relations and Communication

      • Write and distribute official press releases for game recaps, player signings, community initiatives, and other team news.

      • Serve as the primary media contact, building relationships with local and regional news outlets.

      • Develop and manage the team's weekly email newsletter, providing subscribers with exclusive content, promotions, and team updates.

    • Staff Management

      • Recruit, train, and manage a team of interns and volunteers focused on photography, social media, and game-day content creation.

      • Collaborate with other areas, including ticketing, marketing, and game-day operations, to ensure a cohesive promotional strategy.

    • Work closely with other directors to ensure seamless connections between areas.

    Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from community college or university.

    Requirements:

    • Must be able to attend and professionally represent the organization at all home games and community/public events in and around Hancock County, Ohio.

    Preferred Skills and Experiences:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong planning skills

    • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

    • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals

    • Past sports management and marketing experiences in school or internships is preferred.

    Compensation: $1,000

  • Director of Revenue - Flag City Sluggers

    Job Description

    The Flag City Sluggers are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Director of Revenue to lead income-generating initiatives for the organization. This director position is responsible for the strategic development and execution of sales plans across corporate sponsorships, group ticketing, merchandise, and specialty programs like the Kids Club. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales leader with a proven track record of building relationships, closing deals, and exceeding revenue targets. This role is crucial to the financial health of the team and requires a strategic mindset, exceptional sales acumen, and a passion for connecting businesses and fans with the excitement of Sluggers baseball.

    Responsibilities:

    • Corporate Sponsorships and Partnerships

      • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy to meet and exceed annual revenue goals.

      • Identify, prospect, and secure new sponsors through cold calling, networking, and face-to-face meetings.

      • Create customized, high-value sponsorship packages that incorporate assets such as ballpark signage, digital media exposure, in-game promotions, and hospitality.

      • Manage and cultivate existing partner relationships to ensure a high rate of renewal and upsell opportunities.

      • Oversee the fulfillment of all partnership agreements, ensuring contractual obligations are met and partners receive exceptional value.

    • Group & Hospitality Sales

      • Lead the sales strategy for all group ticket packages, including corporate outings, youth sports teams, and non-profit fundraisers.

      • Actively prospect new group sales leads and manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to event execution.

      • Develop and market unique hospitality experiences.

      • Collaborate with the game-day operations team to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for all group attendees.

    • Merchandise and Team Store Management

      • Oversee all aspects of the team's retail operations, including the game day team store and online shop.

      • Manage inventory, product selection, pricing, and visual merchandising to maximize sales and profitability.

      • Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions about product ordering and promotions.

      • Hire, train, and manage game-day retail staff.

      • Work with other areas to maximize sales

    • Kids Club and Community Programs

      • Manage and grow the official Slugges Kids Club, developing membership benefits and exclusive events to drive youth engagement and revenue.

      • Oversee the sale and administration of other revenue-generating community programs, such as summer baseball clinics.

    The Flag City Sluggers are seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive medical care and injury prevention for our summer collegiate baseball team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our players.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide preventative care and injury prevention education to players.

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat athletic injuries.

    • Develop and implement injury rehabilitation programs.

    • Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

    • Coordinate with team physicians and other healthcare providers.

    • Manage the athletic training room and equipment.

    • Educate players and staff on health and wellness topics.

    Qualifications:

    • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification required.

    • Current state licensure or certification (if applicable).

    • Experience working with athletes, preferably in a collegiate or professional setting.

    • Strong knowledge of athletic injuries and rehabilitation techniques.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
